Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 17, 2026
Blobby Labs ("Blobby Labs," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have regarding that information. By using our website or services, you agree to the terms of this policy.
1. Who We Are
Blobby Labs is a sole proprietorship operated by Chris Campbell in Marion, Ohio. We build custom software and deliver physical hardware kits for small businesses. You can reach us at hello@blobbylabs.com.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information in the following ways:
- Information you give us directly. When you fill out the contact form on our website, we collect your name, email address, a description of your business, timeline, budget, and the message you submit.
- Information from clients we serve. When we build a system for a client, that system may store information about that client's users (for example, tenant names and phone numbers, for a property management client). We do not receive or hold that data — it lives on the client's hardware under their control.
- Standard technical information. Our website may log IP addresses, browser types, and pages visited, for security and analytics purposes.
3. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to your inquiries and correspond with you
- Scope, deliver, and support software and hardware projects
- Send SMS communications if you have explicitly consented to receive them (see Section 6)
- Comply with legal obligations
- Protect the rights, property, or safety of Blobby Labs, our clients, or others
4. Information Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share information in the following limited circumstances:
- Service providers we use to operate our business (for example, Twilio for SMS delivery, our email provider, hosting providers). These providers are bound by their own privacy terms.
- Legal compliance — if required by law, court order, or valid government request.
- Business changes — if Blobby Labs is ever acquired or merged, your information may transfer. We'd notify you first.
We do not share information collected about tenants, customers, or end users of our clients' systems, because that information remains on our clients' hardware and under their control — not ours.
5. Data Security
We take reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information in our custody. Our client systems are hosted on our clients' own hardware, typically behind Cloudflare Tunnel, so the client's data never transits a public web server under our control. Our website uses HTTPS. No method of internet transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. SMS / Text Messaging Terms
Blobby Labs uses Twilio to deliver SMS messages on behalf of our clients, and occasionally directly from Blobby Labs to recipients who have opted in.
- Consent. We or our clients only send SMS messages to recipients who have explicitly opted in, either in person (via signed consent form), through a web form with a clearly disclosed SMS opt-in checkbox, or by sending an inbound message that constitutes consent to reply (such as a maintenance request text to a property management client).
- Message types. Messages may include service notifications, appointment reminders, maintenance updates, building announcements, rent or payment reminders, promotional messages (if separately consented), and responses to your inquiries. The specific message types depend on the client system you have opted in to.
- Message frequency. Message frequency varies based on activity. Typical frequency is 2–10 messages per month.
- Message and data rates. Message and data rates may apply based on your wireless carrier plan.
- Opt-out. You may opt out at any time by replying
STOPto any message you receive. You may also email hello@blobbylabs.com to request removal. - Help. You may reply
HELPto any message for assistance, or email hello@blobbylabs.com. - No sharing. We do not share mobile phone numbers or SMS opt-in data with third parties for marketing purposes. Twilio is the only third party that receives phone numbers, and only for the purpose of delivering the message you have consented to receive. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
7. Cookies & Tracking
Our website uses minimal cookies, primarily for security and to remember preferences. We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand site traffic. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.
8. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to access, correct, or delete information we hold about you. To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@blobbylabs.com.
If you are a resident of California, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). If you are a resident of the EU or UK, you have additional rights under the GDPR or UK GDPR. Contact us and we will honor applicable rights.
9. Children's Privacy
Our services are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of the page shows when the policy was last changed. Material changes will be communicated via email to clients and noted on our website.
